Senior Accountant - month-end close (Orlando, FL)

We are growing our team at Amberfield Maple Construction Group and adding a Senior Accountant whose main responsibility will be month-end close. Good people move up quickly. What you will do • Work with purchasing and operations to fix recurring coding errors. • Build schedules for the annual audit and answer the auditors' questions. • Keep the chart of accounts and supporting files tidy so anyone can follow them. • Track costs around subcontractor invoices against budget and explain variances to managers. • Review invoices and expense reports for accuracy before payment. What we are looking for • A clear, patient way of explaining numbers to non-accountants. • Careful attention to detail and a habit of checking your own work. • Two or more years of hands-on accounting experience. • Solid spreadsheet skills and comfort with an ERP or accounting system. Nice to have • Experience with safety records. • Familiarity with audit requirements. Working arrangement • Full-time, Monday to Friday. • On site in Orlando. • We will tell you what to expect at each step of the hiring process.
