Senior Accountant - month-end close (Orlando, FL)

Foxglove Group is looking for a Senior Accountant. The job centres on month-end close for packing house output, and it would suit someone who likes steady, practical work. We are a family-run business at heart. What you will do • Keep the chart of accounts and supporting files tidy so anyone can follow them. • Reconcile bank and vendor accounts each month, including anything tied to packing house output, and clear open items. • Review invoices and expense reports for accuracy before payment. • Track costs around field records against budget and explain variances to managers. • Prepare journal entries and support the month-end close on a fixed calendar. What we are looking for • Solid spreadsheet skills and comfort with an ERP or accounting system. • A clear, patient way of explaining numbers to non-accountants. • Careful attention to detail and a habit of checking your own work. • Two or more years of hands-on accounting experience. Nice to have • A degree or certificate in accounting. • Experience with packing house output. Working arrangement • Contract for six months, with the possibility of becoming permanent. • On site in Orlando. • We will tell you what to expect at each step of the hiring process.
