Senior Accountant - month-end close (Orlando, FL)

Highbridge Glen Hospitality operates hotels and event venues around Orlando. We are hiring a Senior Accountant to take on month-end close. You would join a large organisation of about 266 people based in Orlando. What you will do • Prepare journal entries and support the month-end close on a fixed calendar. • Track costs around reviews and feedback against budget and explain variances to managers. • Reconcile bank and vendor accounts each month, including anything tied to supplier orders, and clear open items. • Review invoices and expense reports for accuracy before payment. • Keep the chart of accounts and supporting files tidy so anyone can follow them. What we are looking for • Careful attention to detail and a habit of checking your own work. • Solid spreadsheet skills and comfort with an ERP or accounting system. • A clear, patient way of explaining numbers to non-accountants. • Two or more years of hands-on accounting experience. Nice to have • Experience with supplier orders. • Familiarity with audit requirements. Working arrangement • Full-time, with a steady weekday schedule. • On site in Orlando, with some flexibility after the first few months. • Applications are reviewed on a rolling basis.
