Senior Accountant - month-end close (Oklahoma City, OK)

Greenridge Mill Environmental Services Partners serves homes and businesses with collection and disposal in Oklahoma City. We are hiring a Senior Accountant to take on month-end close. Early starts and steady work; we look after our drivers. What you will do • Prepare journal entries and support the month-end close on a fixed calendar. • Keep the chart of accounts and supporting files tidy so anyone can follow them. • Build schedules for the annual audit and answer the auditors' questions. • Track costs around fleet maintenance against budget and explain variances to managers. • Work with purchasing and operations to fix recurring coding errors. What we are looking for • Careful attention to detail and a habit of checking your own work. • Two or more years of hands-on accounting experience. • Solid spreadsheet skills and comfort with an ERP or accounting system. • A clear, patient way of explaining numbers to non-accountants. Nice to have • Experience with service complaints. • Familiarity with audit requirements. Working arrangement • Part-time, about 28 hours a week, with flexible days. • On site in Oklahoma City. • Applications are reviewed on a rolling basis.
