Senior Accountant - month-end close (New Orleans, LA)

Silverline Willow Medical designs and makes medical devices in New Orleans, and we need a Senior Accountant to lead our month-end close. Engineers and clinicians sit at the same table. What you will do • Build schedules for the annual audit and answer the auditors' questions. • Review invoices and expense reports for accuracy before payment. • Track costs around device records against budget and explain variances to managers. • Reconcile bank and vendor accounts each month, including anything tied to clinical evaluations, and clear open items. • Keep the chart of accounts and supporting files tidy so anyone can follow them. What we are looking for • Careful attention to detail and a habit of checking your own work. • A clear, patient way of explaining numbers to non-accountants. • Two or more years of hands-on accounting experience. • Solid spreadsheet skills and comfort with an ERP or accounting system. Nice to have • Familiarity with audit requirements. • Experience with clinical evaluations. Working arrangement • Contract for nine months, with the possibility of becoming permanent. • On site in New Orleans. • We reply to every applicant.
