Senior Accountant - month-end close (Memphis, TN)

Highbridge Ivory Banking Services is a regional lender in Memphis with branches and a growing mobile service. We are hiring a Senior Accountant to take on month-end close. You would join a large organisation of about 448 people based in Memphis. What you will do • Work with purchasing and operations to fix recurring coding errors. • Build schedules for the annual audit and answer the auditors' questions. • Keep the chart of accounts and supporting files tidy so anyone can follow them. • Reconcile bank and vendor accounts each month, including anything tied to account openings, and clear open items. • Prepare journal entries and support the month-end close on a fixed calendar. What we are looking for • A clear, patient way of explaining numbers to non-accountants. • Solid spreadsheet skills and comfort with an ERP or accounting system. • Careful attention to detail and a habit of checking your own work. • Two or more years of hands-on accounting experience. Nice to have • Experience with account openings. • A degree or certificate in accounting. Working arrangement • Contract for four months, with clear deliverables from the first week. • On site in Memphis. • We will tell you what to expect at each step of the hiring process.
