Senior Accountant - month-end close (Memphis, TN)

Silverline Wren Banking Services is looking for a Senior Accountant. The job centres on month-end close for loan files, and it would suit someone who likes steady, practical work. Most people here started in a branch and stayed. What you will do • Work with purchasing and operations to fix recurring coding errors. • Keep the chart of accounts and supporting files tidy so anyone can follow them. • Build schedules for the annual audit and answer the auditors' questions. • Review invoices and expense reports for accuracy before payment. • Track costs around card disputes against budget and explain variances to managers. What we are looking for • Careful attention to detail and a habit of checking your own work. • A clear, patient way of explaining numbers to non-accountants. • Solid spreadsheet skills and comfort with an ERP or accounting system. • Two or more years of hands-on accounting experience. Nice to have • Familiarity with audit requirements. • Experience with loan files. Working arrangement • Part-time, about 24 hours a week, spread across three days. • On site in Memphis. • We will tell you what to expect at each step of the hiring process.
