Senior Accountant - month-end close (Memphis, TN)

Clearpath Field Markets Group is a Memphis retailer with stores, a distribution centre and online ordering. We are hiring a Senior Accountant to take on month-end close. You would join a large organisation of more than 1,000 people based in Memphis. What you will do • Reconcile bank and vendor accounts each month, including anything tied to supplier deliveries, and clear open items. • Build schedules for the annual audit and answer the auditors' questions. • Keep the chart of accounts and supporting files tidy so anyone can follow them. • Review invoices and expense reports for accuracy before payment. • Track costs around promotions against budget and explain variances to managers. What we are looking for • A clear, patient way of explaining numbers to non-accountants. • Careful attention to detail and a habit of checking your own work. • Two or more years of hands-on accounting experience. • Solid spreadsheet skills and comfort with an ERP or accounting system. Nice to have • A degree or certificate in accounting. • Familiarity with audit requirements. Working arrangement • Full-time, with a steady weekday schedule. • On site in Memphis, with some flexibility after the first few months. • We will tell you what to expect at each step of the hiring process.
