Senior Accountant - month-end close (Kansas City, MO)

Northwind Field Financial is looking for a Senior Accountant. The job centres on month-end close for customer onboarding, and it would suit someone who likes steady, practical work. You would join a large organisation of more than 1,000 people based in Kansas City. What you will do • Build schedules for the annual audit and answer the auditors' questions. • Keep the chart of accounts and supporting files tidy so anyone can follow them. • Track costs around regulatory reports against budget and explain variances to managers. • Review invoices and expense reports for accuracy before payment. • Prepare journal entries and support the month-end close on a fixed calendar. What we are looking for • A clear, patient way of explaining numbers to non-accountants. • Solid spreadsheet skills and comfort with an ERP or accounting system. • Careful attention to detail and a habit of checking your own work. • Two or more years of hands-on accounting experience. Nice to have • Familiarity with audit requirements. • Experience with customer onboarding.
