Senior Accountant - month-end close (Jacksonville, FL)

Highbridge Glen Hospitality operates hotels and event venues around Jacksonville, and we need a Senior Accountant to lead our month-end close. We work weekends and holidays and we make it fun. What you will do • Build schedules for the annual audit and answer the auditors' questions. • Review invoices and expense reports for accuracy before payment. • Reconcile bank and vendor accounts each month, including anything tied to housekeeping schedules, and clear open items. • Prepare journal entries and support the month-end close on a fixed calendar. • Work with purchasing and operations to fix recurring coding errors. What we are looking for • Solid spreadsheet skills and comfort with an ERP or accounting system. • Careful attention to detail and a habit of checking your own work. • Two or more years of hands-on accounting experience. • A clear, patient way of explaining numbers to non-accountants. Nice to have • Experience with housekeeping schedules. • A degree or certificate in accounting. Working arrangement • Contract for four months, with the possibility of becoming permanent. • On site in Jacksonville. • We reply to every applicant.
