Senior Accountant - month-end close (Jackson, MS)

Bluepeak Cobalt Auto Group serves drivers and dealerships across the Jackson region, and we need a Senior Accountant to lead our month-end close. You would join a small organisation of about 14 people based in Jackson. What you will do • Work with purchasing and operations to fix recurring coding errors. • Track costs around warranty claims against budget and explain variances to managers. • Review invoices and expense reports for accuracy before payment. • Keep the chart of accounts and supporting files tidy so anyone can follow them. • Reconcile bank and vendor accounts each month, including anything tied to customer estimates, and clear open items. What we are looking for • A clear, patient way of explaining numbers to non-accountants. • Two or more years of hands-on accounting experience. • Careful attention to detail and a habit of checking your own work. • Solid spreadsheet skills and comfort with an ERP or accounting system. Nice to have • A degree or certificate in accounting. • Experience with customer estimates.
