Senior Accountant - month-end close (Jackson, MS)

Silverline Rook Medical is a Jackson company producing monitoring and surgical equipment, and we need a Senior Accountant to lead our month-end close. Engineers and clinicians sit at the same table. What you will do • Work with purchasing and operations to fix recurring coding errors. • Build schedules for the annual audit and answer the auditors' questions. • Reconcile bank and vendor accounts each month, including anything tied to training materials, and clear open items. • Prepare journal entries and support the month-end close on a fixed calendar. • Track costs around complaint handling against budget and explain variances to managers. What we are looking for • Careful attention to detail and a habit of checking your own work. • Solid spreadsheet skills and comfort with an ERP or accounting system. • Two or more years of hands-on accounting experience. • A clear, patient way of explaining numbers to non-accountants. Nice to have • Experience with training materials. • A degree or certificate in accounting. Working arrangement • Part-time, about 24 hours a week, spread across three days. • On site in Jackson. • We reply to every applicant.
