Senior Accountant - month-end close (Fort Worth, TX)

Bluepeak Clear Freight is a Fort Worth logistics company with trucks, warehouses and dispatch. We are hiring a Senior Accountant to take on month-end close. Dispatch, drivers and warehouse staff talk to each other constantly. What you will do • Track costs around loads and lanes against budget and explain variances to managers. • Keep the chart of accounts and supporting files tidy so anyone can follow them. • Reconcile bank and vendor accounts each month, including anything tied to dock schedules, and clear open items. • Review invoices and expense reports for accuracy before payment. • Prepare journal entries and support the month-end close on a fixed calendar. What we are looking for • Solid spreadsheet skills and comfort with an ERP or accounting system. • Two or more years of hands-on accounting experience. • A clear, patient way of explaining numbers to non-accountants. • Careful attention to detail and a habit of checking your own work. Nice to have • Experience with dock schedules. • A degree or certificate in accounting. Working arrangement • Part-time, about 28 hours a week, mornings. • On site in Fort Worth, with some flexibility after the first few months. • We reply to every applicant.
