Senior Accountant - month-end close (Fort Worth, TX)

Westbrook Solutions is an agricultural business based around Fort Worth. We are hiring a Senior Accountant to take on month-end close. You would work closely with colleagues in operations, support and management. What you will do • Review invoices and expense reports for accuracy before payment. • Build schedules for the annual audit and answer the auditors' questions. • Work with purchasing and operations to fix recurring coding errors. • Track costs around harvest schedules against budget and explain variances to managers. • Keep the chart of accounts and supporting files tidy so anyone can follow them. What we are looking for • Solid spreadsheet skills and comfort with an ERP or accounting system. • A clear, patient way of explaining numbers to non-accountants. • Careful attention to detail and a habit of checking your own work. • Two or more years of hands-on accounting experience. Nice to have • A degree or certificate in accounting. • Experience with cold storage. Working arrangement • Contract for four months, with clear deliverables from the first week. • On site in Fort Worth, with some flexibility after the first few months. • We reply to every applicant.
