Senior Accountant - month-end close (Fort Worth, TX)

Highbridge Vale Press is looking for a Senior Accountant. The job centres on month-end close for press runs, and it would suit someone who likes steady, practical work. Many of us have been here for ten years or more. What you will do • Build schedules for the annual audit and answer the auditors' questions. • Review invoices and expense reports for accuracy before payment. • Reconcile bank and vendor accounts each month, including anything tied to press runs, and clear open items. • Track costs around customer orders against budget and explain variances to managers. • Keep the chart of accounts and supporting files tidy so anyone can follow them. What we are looking for • Careful attention to detail and a habit of checking your own work. • A clear, patient way of explaining numbers to non-accountants. • Solid spreadsheet skills and comfort with an ERP or accounting system. • Two or more years of hands-on accounting experience. Nice to have • Familiarity with audit requirements. • Experience with press runs. Working arrangement • Part-time, about 16 hours a week, afternoons. • On site in Fort Worth. • We reply to every applicant.
