Senior Accountant - month-end close (Fort Worth, TX)

We are growing our team at Silverline Lakeside Farms Group and adding a Senior Accountant whose main responsibility will be month-end close. You would join a small organisation of about 132 people based in Fort Worth. What you will do • Track costs around packing house output against budget and explain variances to managers. • Keep the chart of accounts and supporting files tidy so anyone can follow them. • Reconcile bank and vendor accounts each month, including anything tied to grower contracts, and clear open items. • Build schedules for the annual audit and answer the auditors' questions. • Work with purchasing and operations to fix recurring coding errors. What we are looking for • Two or more years of hands-on accounting experience. • A clear, patient way of explaining numbers to non-accountants. • Solid spreadsheet skills and comfort with an ERP or accounting system. • Careful attention to detail and a habit of checking your own work. Nice to have • Familiarity with audit requirements. • Experience with grower contracts. Working arrangement • Contract for nine months, with clear deliverables from the first week. • On site in Fort Worth. • Applications are reviewed on a rolling basis.
