Senior Accountant - month-end close (Dallas, TX)

We are growing our team at Ironwood Vale Pharma and adding a Senior Accountant whose main responsibility will be month-end close. You would join a large organisation of more than 1,000 people based in Dallas. What you will do • Keep the chart of accounts and supporting files tidy so anyone can follow them. • Prepare journal entries and support the month-end close on a fixed calendar. • Reconcile bank and vendor accounts each month, including anything tied to release testing, and clear open items. • Review invoices and expense reports for accuracy before payment. • Track costs around clinical studies against budget and explain variances to managers. What we are looking for • Solid spreadsheet skills and comfort with an ERP or accounting system. • Careful attention to detail and a habit of checking your own work. • A clear, patient way of explaining numbers to non-accountants. • Two or more years of hands-on accounting experience. Nice to have • Experience with release testing. • Familiarity with audit requirements. Working arrangement • Full-time, on a regular day shift. • On site in Dallas, with some flexibility after the first few months. • We reply to every applicant.
