Senior Accountant - month-end close (Colorado Springs, CO)

We are growing our team at Bluepeak Technologies and adding a Senior Accountant whose main responsibility will be month-end close. You would join a large organisation of about 267 people based in Colorado Springs. What you will do • Work with purchasing and operations to fix recurring coding errors. • Track costs around scrap and rework against budget and explain variances to managers. • Review invoices and expense reports for accuracy before payment. • Reconcile bank and vendor accounts each month, including anything tied to work orders, and clear open items. • Keep the chart of accounts and supporting files tidy so anyone can follow them. What we are looking for • A clear, patient way of explaining numbers to non-accountants. • Two or more years of hands-on accounting experience. • Solid spreadsheet skills and comfort with an ERP or accounting system. • Careful attention to detail and a habit of checking your own work. Nice to have • Familiarity with audit requirements. • Experience with work orders. Working arrangement • Part-time, about 20 hours a week, spread across three days. • On site in Colorado Springs, with some flexibility after the first few months. • We will tell you what to expect at each step of the hiring process.
