Senior Accountant - month-end close (Cleveland, OH)

Foxglove Stone Energy Group is an energy provider in Cleveland focused on reliable service and fair billing, and we need a Senior Accountant to lead our month-end close. You would join a large organisation of more than 1,000 people based in Cleveland. What you will do • Reconcile bank and vendor accounts each month, including anything tied to billing disputes, and clear open items. • Work with purchasing and operations to fix recurring coding errors. • Track costs around service connections against budget and explain variances to managers. • Review invoices and expense reports for accuracy before payment. • Build schedules for the annual audit and answer the auditors' questions. What we are looking for • Two or more years of hands-on accounting experience. • A clear, patient way of explaining numbers to non-accountants. • Careful attention to detail and a habit of checking your own work. • Solid spreadsheet skills and comfort with an ERP or accounting system. Nice to have • Experience with billing disputes. • Familiarity with audit requirements. Working arrangement • Part-time, about 28 hours a week, mornings. • On site in Cleveland. • We will tell you what to expect at each step of the hiring process.
