Senior Accountant - month-end close (Cleveland, OH)

Foxglove West Care Services provides in-home and community support in Cleveland, and we need a Senior Accountant to lead our month-end close. You would join a small organisation of about 21 people based in Cleveland. What you will do • Prepare journal entries and support the month-end close on a fixed calendar. • Keep the chart of accounts and supporting files tidy so anyone can follow them. • Review invoices and expense reports for accuracy before payment. • Build schedules for the annual audit and answer the auditors' questions. • Work with purchasing and operations to fix recurring coding errors. What we are looking for • Two or more years of hands-on accounting experience. • Careful attention to detail and a habit of checking your own work. • Solid spreadsheet skills and comfort with an ERP or accounting system. • A clear, patient way of explaining numbers to non-accountants. Nice to have • Familiarity with audit requirements. • A degree or certificate in accounting. Working arrangement • Full-time, with a steady weekday schedule. • On site in Cleveland, with some flexibility after the first few months. • We reply to every applicant.
