Senior Accountant - month-end close (Cincinnati, OH)

Silverline Haven Learning Group operates schools and learning programmes around Cincinnati. We are hiring a Senior Accountant to take on month-end close. You would join a small organisation of about 15 people based in Cincinnati. What you will do • Keep the chart of accounts and supporting files tidy so anyone can follow them. • Build schedules for the annual audit and answer the auditors' questions. • Review invoices and expense reports for accuracy before payment. • Reconcile bank and vendor accounts each month, including anything tied to school calendars, and clear open items. • Work with purchasing and operations to fix recurring coding errors. What we are looking for • A clear, patient way of explaining numbers to non-accountants. • Two or more years of hands-on accounting experience. • Careful attention to detail and a habit of checking your own work. • Solid spreadsheet skills and comfort with an ERP or accounting system. Nice to have • Experience with school calendars. • Familiarity with audit requirements.
