Senior Accountant - month-end close (Boston, MA)

Silverline Juniper Care Services is a social-care provider serving older adults and people with disabilities around Boston, and we need a Senior Accountant to lead our month-end close. The work is personal and so is the culture. What you will do • Work with purchasing and operations to fix recurring coding errors. • Review invoices and expense reports for accuracy before payment. • Keep the chart of accounts and supporting files tidy so anyone can follow them. • Reconcile bank and vendor accounts each month, including anything tied to caregiver training, and clear open items. • Track costs around care plans against budget and explain variances to managers. What we are looking for • Careful attention to detail and a habit of checking your own work. • A clear, patient way of explaining numbers to non-accountants. • Two or more years of hands-on accounting experience. • Solid spreadsheet skills and comfort with an ERP or accounting system. Nice to have • Familiarity with audit requirements. • Experience with caregiver training. Working arrangement • Contract for eight months, with the possibility of becoming permanent. • On site in Boston. • We reply to every applicant.
