Senior Accountant - month-end close (Boise, ID)

We are growing our team at Redstone Drift Foods Group and adding a Senior Accountant whose main responsibility will be month-end close. Shifts are steady and overtime is planned. What you will do • Review invoices and expense reports for accuracy before payment. • Track costs around customer specifications against budget and explain variances to managers. • Prepare journal entries and support the month-end close on a fixed calendar. • Build schedules for the annual audit and answer the auditors' questions. • Keep the chart of accounts and supporting files tidy so anyone can follow them. What we are looking for • A clear, patient way of explaining numbers to non-accountants. • Careful attention to detail and a habit of checking your own work. • Two or more years of hands-on accounting experience. • Solid spreadsheet skills and comfort with an ERP or accounting system. Nice to have • A degree or certificate in accounting. • Experience with allergen controls. Working arrangement • Contract for eight months, with a review at the end and a chance of extension. • On site in Boise. • We will tell you what to expect at each step of the hiring process.
