Senior Accountant - month-end close (Austin, TX)

We are growing our team at Ironwood Forge Care Services and adding a Senior Accountant whose main responsibility will be month-end close. You would join a small organisation of about 49 people based in Austin. What you will do • Build schedules for the annual audit and answer the auditors' questions. • Keep the chart of accounts and supporting files tidy so anyone can follow them. • Review invoices and expense reports for accuracy before payment. • Work with purchasing and operations to fix recurring coding errors. • Track costs around care plans against budget and explain variances to managers. What we are looking for • Solid spreadsheet skills and comfort with an ERP or accounting system. • A clear, patient way of explaining numbers to non-accountants. • Careful attention to detail and a habit of checking your own work. • Two or more years of hands-on accounting experience. Nice to have • Experience with caregiver training. • Familiarity with audit requirements. Working arrangement • Contract for three months, with the possibility of becoming permanent. • On site in Austin. • We will tell you what to expect at each step of the hiring process.
