Senior Accountant - month-end close (Austin, TX)

Amberfield Vale Manufacturing is looking for a Senior Accountant. The job centres on month-end close for work orders, and it would suit someone who likes steady, practical work. Shifts are steady and overtime is planned. What you will do • Build schedules for the annual audit and answer the auditors' questions. • Track costs around machine downtime against budget and explain variances to managers. • Review invoices and expense reports for accuracy before payment. • Work with purchasing and operations to fix recurring coding errors. • Reconcile bank and vendor accounts each month, including anything tied to work orders, and clear open items. What we are looking for • A clear, patient way of explaining numbers to non-accountants. • Solid spreadsheet skills and comfort with an ERP or accounting system. • Careful attention to detail and a habit of checking your own work. • Two or more years of hands-on accounting experience. Nice to have • Familiarity with audit requirements. • Experience with work orders. Working arrangement • Full-time, Monday to Friday. • On site in Austin. • We reply to every applicant.
