Senior Accountant - month-end close (Austin, TX)

Stonegate Yarrow Hospitality Partners is looking for a Senior Accountant. The job centres on month-end close for food costs, and it would suit someone who likes steady, practical work. You would join a large organisation of about 452 people based in Austin. What you will do • Build schedules for the annual audit and answer the auditors' questions. • Prepare journal entries and support the month-end close on a fixed calendar. • Reconcile bank and vendor accounts each month, including anything tied to food costs, and clear open items. • Work with purchasing and operations to fix recurring coding errors. • Track costs around supplier orders against budget and explain variances to managers. What we are looking for • Solid spreadsheet skills and comfort with an ERP or accounting system. • Two or more years of hands-on accounting experience. • A clear, patient way of explaining numbers to non-accountants. • Careful attention to detail and a habit of checking your own work. Nice to have • Experience with food costs. • A degree or certificate in accounting.
