Senior Accountant - month-end close (Albuquerque, NM)

We are growing our team at Cedar Haven Pharma Group and adding a Senior Accountant whose main responsibility will be month-end close. You would join a large organisation of about 718 people based in Albuquerque. What you will do • Reconcile bank and vendor accounts each month, including anything tied to batch records, and clear open items. • Prepare journal entries and support the month-end close on a fixed calendar. • Keep the chart of accounts and supporting files tidy so anyone can follow them. • Review invoices and expense reports for accuracy before payment. • Track costs around release testing against budget and explain variances to managers. What we are looking for • A clear, patient way of explaining numbers to non-accountants. • Two or more years of hands-on accounting experience. • Solid spreadsheet skills and comfort with an ERP or accounting system. • Careful attention to detail and a habit of checking your own work. Nice to have • Experience with batch records. • Familiarity with audit requirements. Working arrangement • Part-time, about 20 hours a week, with flexible days. • On site in Albuquerque. • We will tell you what to expect at each step of the hiring process.
