Senior Accountant - grant and fund accounting (Wichita, KS)

Rivermark Cedar Banking Services is looking for a Senior Accountant. The job centres on grant and fund accounting for loan files, and it would suit someone who likes steady, practical work. You would join a small organisation of about 182 people based in Wichita. What you will do • Review invoices and expense reports for accuracy before payment. • Work with purchasing and operations to fix recurring coding errors. • Keep the chart of accounts and supporting files tidy so anyone can follow them. • Reconcile bank and vendor accounts each month, including anything tied to loan files, and clear open items. • Build schedules for the annual audit and answer the auditors' questions. What we are looking for • Careful attention to detail and a habit of checking your own work. • Two or more years of hands-on accounting experience. • A clear, patient way of explaining numbers to non-accountants. • Solid spreadsheet skills and comfort with an ERP or accounting system. Nice to have • Experience with loan files. • A degree or certificate in accounting. Working arrangement • Full-time, with a steady weekday schedule. • On site in Wichita. • Applications are reviewed on a rolling basis.
