Senior Accountant - grant and fund accounting (Virginia Beach, VA)

Foxglove Cross Facilities is looking for a Senior Accountant. The job centres on grant and fund accounting for contractor visits, and it would suit someone who likes steady, practical work. Clear communication between supervisors and crews matters. What you will do • Build schedules for the annual audit and answer the auditors' questions. • Reconcile bank and vendor accounts each month, including anything tied to contractor visits, and clear open items. • Work with purchasing and operations to fix recurring coding errors. • Review invoices and expense reports for accuracy before payment. • Track costs around cleaning schedules against budget and explain variances to managers. What we are looking for • Solid spreadsheet skills and comfort with an ERP or accounting system. • A clear, patient way of explaining numbers to non-accountants. • Two or more years of hands-on accounting experience. • Careful attention to detail and a habit of checking your own work. Nice to have • Experience with contractor visits. • A degree or certificate in accounting. Working arrangement • Part-time, about 28 hours a week, with flexible days. • On site in Virginia Beach. • Applications are reviewed on a rolling basis.
