Senior Accountant - grant and fund accounting (Tucson, AZ)

Clearpath Orchard Care Services is looking for a Senior Accountant. The job centres on grant and fund accounting for care plans, and it would suit someone who likes steady, practical work. You would join a large organisation of about 579 people based in Tucson. What you will do • Keep the chart of accounts and supporting files tidy so anyone can follow them. • Track costs around client records against budget and explain variances to managers. • Prepare journal entries and support the month-end close on a fixed calendar. • Reconcile bank and vendor accounts each month, including anything tied to care plans, and clear open items. • Build schedules for the annual audit and answer the auditors' questions. What we are looking for • A clear, patient way of explaining numbers to non-accountants. • Two or more years of hands-on accounting experience. • Solid spreadsheet skills and comfort with an ERP or accounting system. • Careful attention to detail and a habit of checking your own work. Nice to have • Familiarity with audit requirements. • A degree or certificate in accounting.
