Senior Accountant - grant and fund accounting (Spokane, WA)

We are growing our team at Greenridge Mill Transit Planning and adding a Senior Accountant whose main responsibility will be grant and fund accounting. You would join a small organisation of about 23 people based in Spokane. What you will do • Work with purchasing and operations to fix recurring coding errors. • Review invoices and expense reports for accuracy before payment. • Prepare journal entries and support the month-end close on a fixed calendar. • Build schedules for the annual audit and answer the auditors' questions. • Track costs around accessibility audits against budget and explain variances to managers. What we are looking for • Two or more years of hands-on accounting experience. • A clear, patient way of explaining numbers to non-accountants. • Solid spreadsheet skills and comfort with an ERP or accounting system. • Careful attention to detail and a habit of checking your own work. Nice to have • A degree or certificate in accounting. • Familiarity with audit requirements. Working arrangement • Full-time, Monday to Friday. • On site in Spokane. • We reply to every applicant.
