Senior Accountant - grant and fund accounting (Spokane, WA)

Greenridge Hollow Freight Partners is looking for a Senior Accountant. The job centres on grant and fund accounting for proof of delivery, and it would suit someone who likes steady, practical work. You would join a large organisation of about 311 people based in Spokane. What you will do • Track costs around dock schedules against budget and explain variances to managers. • Review invoices and expense reports for accuracy before payment. • Work with purchasing and operations to fix recurring coding errors. • Build schedules for the annual audit and answer the auditors' questions. • Keep the chart of accounts and supporting files tidy so anyone can follow them. What we are looking for • Solid spreadsheet skills and comfort with an ERP or accounting system. • A clear, patient way of explaining numbers to non-accountants. • Careful attention to detail and a habit of checking your own work. • Two or more years of hands-on accounting experience. Nice to have • Familiarity with audit requirements. • Experience with proof of delivery.
