Senior Accountant - grant and fund accounting (Seattle, WA)

Greenridge Rook Learning Group runs classrooms and tutoring across the Seattle area. We are hiring a Senior Accountant to take on grant and fund accounting. You would join a small organisation of about 42 people based in Seattle. What you will do • Review invoices and expense reports for accuracy before payment. • Keep the chart of accounts and supporting files tidy so anyone can follow them. • Prepare journal entries and support the month-end close on a fixed calendar. • Build schedules for the annual audit and answer the auditors' questions. • Work with purchasing and operations to fix recurring coding errors. What we are looking for • A clear, patient way of explaining numbers to non-accountants. • Careful attention to detail and a habit of checking your own work. • Two or more years of hands-on accounting experience. • Solid spreadsheet skills and comfort with an ERP or accounting system. Nice to have • Experience with family communication. • A degree or certificate in accounting. Working arrangement • Part-time, about 24 hours a week, mornings. • On site in Seattle. • Applications are reviewed on a rolling basis.
