Senior Accountant - grant and fund accounting (Savannah, GA)

Redstone Lakeside Freight Partners coordinates shipments and warehousing around Savannah, and we need a Senior Accountant to lead our grant and fund accounting. You would work closely with colleagues in operations, support and management. What you will do • Track costs around carrier rates against budget and explain variances to managers. • Keep the chart of accounts and supporting files tidy so anyone can follow them. • Review invoices and expense reports for accuracy before payment. • Build schedules for the annual audit and answer the auditors' questions. • Reconcile bank and vendor accounts each month, including anything tied to customer tracking, and clear open items. What we are looking for • A clear, patient way of explaining numbers to non-accountants. • Careful attention to detail and a habit of checking your own work. • Solid spreadsheet skills and comfort with an ERP or accounting system. • Two or more years of hands-on accounting experience. Nice to have • A degree or certificate in accounting. • Familiarity with audit requirements. Working arrangement • Contract for six months, with a review at the end and a chance of extension. • On site in Savannah. • We reply to every applicant.
