Senior Accountant - grant and fund accounting (San Jose, CA)

Foxglove Bright Financial Group is looking for a Senior Accountant. The job centres on grant and fund accounting for account servicing, and it would suit someone who likes steady, practical work. Career paths are clear. What you will do • Build schedules for the annual audit and answer the auditors' questions. • Reconcile bank and vendor accounts each month, including anything tied to account servicing, and clear open items. • Review invoices and expense reports for accuracy before payment. • Work with purchasing and operations to fix recurring coding errors. • Track costs around vendor spend against budget and explain variances to managers. What we are looking for • Two or more years of hands-on accounting experience. • Careful attention to detail and a habit of checking your own work. • A clear, patient way of explaining numbers to non-accountants. • Solid spreadsheet skills and comfort with an ERP or accounting system. Nice to have • Experience with account servicing. • Familiarity with audit requirements.
