Senior Accountant - grant and fund accounting (Salt Lake City, UT)

Stonegate Willow Markets operates grocery and general-merchandise stores around Salt Lake City, and we need a Senior Accountant to lead our grant and fund accounting. Managers started on the floor. What you will do • Review invoices and expense reports for accuracy before payment. • Build schedules for the annual audit and answer the auditors' questions. • Reconcile bank and vendor accounts each month, including anything tied to pricing, and clear open items. • Prepare journal entries and support the month-end close on a fixed calendar. • Keep the chart of accounts and supporting files tidy so anyone can follow them. What we are looking for • A clear, patient way of explaining numbers to non-accountants. • Careful attention to detail and a habit of checking your own work. • Solid spreadsheet skills and comfort with an ERP or accounting system. • Two or more years of hands-on accounting experience. Nice to have • A degree or certificate in accounting. • Experience with pricing. Working arrangement • Part-time, about 28 hours a week, with flexible days. • On site in Salt Lake City, with some flexibility after the first few months. • We reply to every applicant.
