Senior Accountant - grant and fund accounting (Rochester, NY)

Rivermark Loom Construction is looking for a Senior Accountant. The job centres on grant and fund accounting for change orders, and it would suit someone who likes steady, practical work. You would work closely with colleagues in operations, support and management. What you will do • Track costs around materials orders against budget and explain variances to managers. • Work with purchasing and operations to fix recurring coding errors. • Build schedules for the annual audit and answer the auditors' questions. • Review invoices and expense reports for accuracy before payment. • Reconcile bank and vendor accounts each month, including anything tied to change orders, and clear open items. What we are looking for • Careful attention to detail and a habit of checking your own work. • Solid spreadsheet skills and comfort with an ERP or accounting system. • A clear, patient way of explaining numbers to non-accountants. • Two or more years of hands-on accounting experience. Nice to have • A degree or certificate in accounting. • Familiarity with audit requirements.
