Senior Accountant - grant and fund accounting (Reno, NV)

We are growing our team at Highbridge Lakeside Farms and adding a Senior Accountant whose main responsibility will be grant and fund accounting. You would work closely with colleagues in operations, support and management. What you will do • Work with purchasing and operations to fix recurring coding errors. • Build schedules for the annual audit and answer the auditors' questions. • Prepare journal entries and support the month-end close on a fixed calendar. • Track costs around grower contracts against budget and explain variances to managers. • Review invoices and expense reports for accuracy before payment. What we are looking for • Two or more years of hands-on accounting experience. • Careful attention to detail and a habit of checking your own work. • Solid spreadsheet skills and comfort with an ERP or accounting system. • A clear, patient way of explaining numbers to non-accountants. Nice to have • Familiarity with audit requirements. • A degree or certificate in accounting. Working arrangement • Part-time, about 28 hours a week, with flexible days. • On site in Reno, with some flexibility after the first few months. • We reply to every applicant.
