Senior Accountant - grant and fund accounting (remote)

Westbrook Junction Manufacturing makes precision components in Austin. We are hiring a Senior Accountant to take on grant and fund accounting. Many of our supervisors started on the floor. What you will do • Work with purchasing and operations to fix recurring coding errors. • Review invoices and expense reports for accuracy before payment. • Track costs around production lines against budget and explain variances to managers. • Build schedules for the annual audit and answer the auditors' questions. • Reconcile bank and vendor accounts each month, including anything tied to customer orders, and clear open items. What we are looking for • Solid spreadsheet skills and comfort with an ERP or accounting system. • Careful attention to detail and a habit of checking your own work. • A clear, patient way of explaining numbers to non-accountants. • Two or more years of hands-on accounting experience. Nice to have • Experience with customer orders. • Familiarity with audit requirements.
