Senior Accountant - grant and fund accounting (remote)

Ironwood Cross Banking Services is a regional lender in Little Rock with branches and a growing mobile service, and we need a Senior Accountant to lead our grant and fund accounting. We keep decisions close to customers and expect people to explain things plainly. What you will do • Review invoices and expense reports for accuracy before payment. • Work with purchasing and operations to fix recurring coding errors. • Prepare journal entries and support the month-end close on a fixed calendar. • Build schedules for the annual audit and answer the auditors' questions. • Track costs around deposit accounts against budget and explain variances to managers. What we are looking for • Careful attention to detail and a habit of checking your own work. • Solid spreadsheet skills and comfort with an ERP or accounting system. • A clear, patient way of explaining numbers to non-accountants. • Two or more years of hands-on accounting experience. Nice to have • Experience with card disputes. • A degree or certificate in accounting. Working arrangement • Full-time, on a regular day shift. • Remote-friendly, with a monthly team day in Little Rock. • We will tell you what to expect at each step of the hiring process.
