Senior Accountant - grant and fund accounting (remote)

Highbridge Vale Manufacturing is looking for a Senior Accountant. The job centres on grant and fund accounting for scrap and rework, and it would suit someone who likes steady, practical work. You would work closely with colleagues in operations, support and management. What you will do • Review invoices and expense reports for accuracy before payment. • Track costs around work orders against budget and explain variances to managers. • Reconcile bank and vendor accounts each month, including anything tied to scrap and rework, and clear open items. • Keep the chart of accounts and supporting files tidy so anyone can follow them. • Work with purchasing and operations to fix recurring coding errors. What we are looking for • Careful attention to detail and a habit of checking your own work. • Two or more years of hands-on accounting experience. • Solid spreadsheet skills and comfort with an ERP or accounting system. • A clear, patient way of explaining numbers to non-accountants. Nice to have • A degree or certificate in accounting. • Familiarity with audit requirements. Working arrangement • Contract for four months, with the possibility of becoming permanent. • Fully remote, with quarterly visits in Wichita. • Applications are reviewed on a rolling basis.
