Senior Accountant - grant and fund accounting (remote)

Highbridge Keystone Telecom builds and runs fibre and wireless networks in the Kansas City area. We are hiring a Senior Accountant to take on grant and fund accounting. You would join a small organisation of about 143 people, working mostly from home. What you will do • Keep the chart of accounts and supporting files tidy so anyone can follow them. • Work with purchasing and operations to fix recurring coding errors. • Prepare journal entries and support the month-end close on a fixed calendar. • Review invoices and expense reports for accuracy before payment. • Build schedules for the annual audit and answer the auditors' questions. What we are looking for • Careful attention to detail and a habit of checking your own work. • Solid spreadsheet skills and comfort with an ERP or accounting system. • A clear, patient way of explaining numbers to non-accountants. • Two or more years of hands-on accounting experience. Nice to have • Experience with field visits. • Familiarity with audit requirements. Working arrangement • Contract for eight months, with clear deliverables from the first week. • Remote-friendly, with quarterly visits in Kansas City. • We reply to every applicant.
