Senior Accountant - grant and fund accounting (remote)

Lumen Clear Farms is an agricultural business based around Seattle, and we need a Senior Accountant to lead our grant and fund accounting. You would work closely with colleagues in operations, support and management. What you will do • Reconcile bank and vendor accounts each month, including anything tied to field records, and clear open items. • Build schedules for the annual audit and answer the auditors' questions. • Track costs around grower contracts against budget and explain variances to managers. • Keep the chart of accounts and supporting files tidy so anyone can follow them. • Review invoices and expense reports for accuracy before payment. What we are looking for • A clear, patient way of explaining numbers to non-accountants. • Two or more years of hands-on accounting experience. • Careful attention to detail and a habit of checking your own work. • Solid spreadsheet skills and comfort with an ERP or accounting system. Nice to have • A degree or certificate in accounting. • Experience with field records. Working arrangement • Contract for six months, with clear deliverables from the first week. • Fully remote, with a monthly team day in Seattle. • We reply to every applicant.
