Senior Accountant - grant and fund accounting (remote)

Silverline Hollow Transit Planning Group is looking for a Senior Accountant. The job centres on grant and fund accounting for fare systems, and it would suit someone who likes steady, practical work. We value plain explanations. What you will do • Work with purchasing and operations to fix recurring coding errors. • Build schedules for the annual audit and answer the auditors' questions. • Reconcile bank and vendor accounts each month, including anything tied to fare systems, and clear open items. • Prepare journal entries and support the month-end close on a fixed calendar. • Track costs around accessibility audits against budget and explain variances to managers. What we are looking for • A clear, patient way of explaining numbers to non-accountants. • Careful attention to detail and a habit of checking your own work. • Two or more years of hands-on accounting experience. • Solid spreadsheet skills and comfort with an ERP or accounting system. Nice to have • Experience with fare systems. • Familiarity with audit requirements. Working arrangement • Part-time, about 24 hours a week, with flexible days. • Fully remote, with an occasional day on site in Orlando. • We will tell you what to expect at each step of the hiring process.
