Senior Accountant - grant and fund accounting (remote)

Harborlight Ridge Property Management looks after rental homes across the Jackson area. We are hiring a Senior Accountant to take on grant and fund accounting. You would join a large organisation of about 560 people, working mostly from home. What you will do • Prepare journal entries and support the month-end close on a fixed calendar. • Work with purchasing and operations to fix recurring coding errors. • Build schedules for the annual audit and answer the auditors' questions. • Review invoices and expense reports for accuracy before payment. • Track costs around rent collection against budget and explain variances to managers. What we are looking for • Careful attention to detail and a habit of checking your own work. • Solid spreadsheet skills and comfort with an ERP or accounting system. • Two or more years of hands-on accounting experience. • A clear, patient way of explaining numbers to non-accountants. Nice to have • Experience with vendor invoices. • A degree or certificate in accounting. Working arrangement • Part-time, about 24 hours a week, mornings. • Remote-friendly, with quarterly visits in Jackson. • We will tell you what to expect at each step of the hiring process.
