Senior Accountant - grant and fund accounting (remote)

Ironwood Thistle Medical Group designs and makes medical devices in Nashville. We are hiring a Senior Accountant to take on grant and fund accounting. You would join a small organisation of about 198 people, working mostly from home. What you will do • Review invoices and expense reports for accuracy before payment. • Keep the chart of accounts and supporting files tidy so anyone can follow them. • Prepare journal entries and support the month-end close on a fixed calendar. • Work with purchasing and operations to fix recurring coding errors. • Track costs around clinical evaluations against budget and explain variances to managers. What we are looking for • Careful attention to detail and a habit of checking your own work. • Two or more years of hands-on accounting experience. • Solid spreadsheet skills and comfort with an ERP or accounting system. • A clear, patient way of explaining numbers to non-accountants. Nice to have • Familiarity with audit requirements. • Experience with complaint handling. Working arrangement • Part-time, about 24 hours a week, spread across three days. • Remote-friendly, with quarterly visits in Nashville. • We reply to every applicant.
