Senior Accountant - grant and fund accounting (remote)

Highbridge Timber Medical Group designs and makes medical devices in San Antonio. We are hiring a Senior Accountant to take on grant and fund accounting. You would join a small organisation of about 165 people, working mostly from home. What you will do • Track costs around production lots against budget and explain variances to managers. • Review invoices and expense reports for accuracy before payment. • Work with purchasing and operations to fix recurring coding errors. • Reconcile bank and vendor accounts each month, including anything tied to training materials, and clear open items. • Prepare journal entries and support the month-end close on a fixed calendar. What we are looking for • Careful attention to detail and a habit of checking your own work. • Solid spreadsheet skills and comfort with an ERP or accounting system. • Two or more years of hands-on accounting experience. • A clear, patient way of explaining numbers to non-accountants. Nice to have • A degree or certificate in accounting. • Experience with training materials. Working arrangement • Contract for four months, with the possibility of becoming permanent. • Fully remote, with an occasional day on site in San Antonio. • We will tell you what to expect at each step of the hiring process.
