Senior Accountant - grant and fund accounting (remote)

Harborlight Fern Hospitality runs guest-focused properties across the Cleveland area. We are hiring a Senior Accountant to take on grant and fund accounting. We work weekends and holidays and we make it fun. What you will do • Work with purchasing and operations to fix recurring coding errors. • Keep the chart of accounts and supporting files tidy so anyone can follow them. • Prepare journal entries and support the month-end close on a fixed calendar. • Review invoices and expense reports for accuracy before payment. • Reconcile bank and vendor accounts each month, including anything tied to housekeeping schedules, and clear open items. What we are looking for • A clear, patient way of explaining numbers to non-accountants. • Careful attention to detail and a habit of checking your own work. • Two or more years of hands-on accounting experience. • Solid spreadsheet skills and comfort with an ERP or accounting system. Nice to have • Experience with housekeeping schedules. • Familiarity with audit requirements. Working arrangement • Full-time, on a regular day shift. • Remote-friendly, with an occasional day on site in Cleveland. • We will tell you what to expect at each step of the hiring process.
