Senior Accountant - grant and fund accounting (remote)

Rivermark Oak Freight is looking for a Senior Accountant. The job centres on grant and fund accounting for customer tracking, and it would suit someone who likes steady, practical work. You would work closely with colleagues in operations, support and management. What you will do • Work with purchasing and operations to fix recurring coding errors. • Review invoices and expense reports for accuracy before payment. • Reconcile bank and vendor accounts each month, including anything tied to customer tracking, and clear open items. • Track costs around dock schedules against budget and explain variances to managers. • Keep the chart of accounts and supporting files tidy so anyone can follow them. What we are looking for • Solid spreadsheet skills and comfort with an ERP or accounting system. • Careful attention to detail and a habit of checking your own work. • A clear, patient way of explaining numbers to non-accountants. • Two or more years of hands-on accounting experience. Nice to have • Familiarity with audit requirements. • A degree or certificate in accounting. Working arrangement • Full-time, with a steady weekday schedule. • Fully remote, with an occasional day on site in Miami. • We reply to every applicant.
