Senior Accountant - grant and fund accounting (remote)

We are growing our team at Stonegate Wilder Insurance Group and adding a Senior Accountant whose main responsibility will be grant and fund accounting. You would join a small organisation of about 137 people, working mostly from home. What you will do • Review invoices and expense reports for accuracy before payment. • Track costs around customer complaints against budget and explain variances to managers. • Prepare journal entries and support the month-end close on a fixed calendar. • Reconcile bank and vendor accounts each month, including anything tied to underwriting files, and clear open items. • Work with purchasing and operations to fix recurring coding errors. What we are looking for • Careful attention to detail and a habit of checking your own work. • Solid spreadsheet skills and comfort with an ERP or accounting system. • A clear, patient way of explaining numbers to non-accountants. • Two or more years of hands-on accounting experience. Nice to have • Experience with underwriting files. • A degree or certificate in accounting. Working arrangement • Contract for six months, with a review at the end and a chance of extension. • Fully remote, with a monthly team day in Oklahoma City. • We reply to every applicant.
